Ezie Cotler was born in Queens, New York and now resides just outside of New York City in New Jersey. After graduating high school and enduring a quick bout with the United States Army, Ezie posted up at Hobart College, where he found and fed his love for acting under the direction of Playwright David Dannenfelser (The Medicine Show) and renowned Shakespeare enthusiast Peter Cummings. At Hobart, Ezie gained valuable experience appearing in roles such as Samuel Beckett (Lucia Mad, Don Nigro) and Duke Orsino, (Twelfth Night, Or What You Will, William Shakespeare), among others.

Since graduating with a Double Major (Performance and English) Ezie has written a one act play and two feature length Screenplays. He has been featured in one national commercial in the United States, and one in Belgium, and has been cast in small roles in independent films, regional commercials, print advertising campaigns, and major motion pictures, including Jordan Galland's Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Undead, PD 101, and DreamWorks New York's Pink Panther Deux. Ezie made his Off-off-Broadway debut in Miracle on Mulberry Street, in 2008, and followed that with another Off-off Lead in Israel Horowitz's Line with The Thirteenth Street Repertory Theatre Company. Ezie's short film The Key Difference directed by Joe Gessner just enjoyed it's premiere in the New Jersey Super 8 Film Festival and took home the 2013 audience choice award and is still on the festival circuit. Crew (Lead/Producer) has taken home Thirteen total awards in 2 seasons, and Off-Awful (Guest Star) has also earned awards at two different festivals.

Ezie is currently shooting season 3 of his WebTV Series Crew written and directed by Anthony Napolitano (Gamble Productions), and developing another series in collaboration with award winning writer Meredith Post and professional musician Chris Webby. In 2015 Ezie will enjoy the release of short feature Loyal to The Game - in which he played a supporting lead role - and of his cooking show pilot Seed to Spoon.

Ezie Cotler has performed in the John Wallace Short Play Festival twice, the Phoenix Players short play festival, and has had his work recognized in the New Jersey Super 8 Film Festival, the Miami Web Fest, The NYIIFF, The Rome Web Awards, the Campi Flegrei WebFest, The Rahway Film Festival and the LA WebFest.

Ezie Cotler is also an avid landscaper, arborist and horticulturist and a certified fitness professional.
